P0340 Code: Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction

The P0340 code means your engine control module has detected a fault in the camshaft position sensor A circuit. When the P0340 code is stored, the ECM is either receiving no signal from the camshaft position sensor, or the signal it’s receiving is so abnormal that it can’t be used for engine management.
